AHA participated in Make a Difference Day last October and donated over 90 hours of service to the community.  Staff got to pick the cause of their choice and worked alongside fellow staff members from different departments for half a day.  Not only did it benefit the community, it was an effective team building event that brought AHA employees closer together.
Zuma's Rescue Ranch
AHA staff volunteered at Zuma's Rescue Ranch, Colorado’s rescue and advocacy center for abandoned equine and at risk youth. The organization "pairs horses and children in mutually therapeutic programming serving the community needs".  Volunteer work consisted of ranch hand duties and cleaning stalls and barns
