AHA owns and manages approximately 680 units of rental housing.
The Authority administers 1,382 Housing Choice Vouchers and approximately 600 incoming portable Vouchers with an annual value to the community of over $16 million in rental revenue for owners of private apartments and homes.

How we operate:
The Aurora Housing Authority operations are funded by a variety of sources that includes: the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), local and state grants, and rental income from AHA-owned properties.  The mortgage debts of the Authority are secured by the real estate and are NOT obligations of the local or state municipalities.  The Authority can issue Housing Bonds on behalf of itself.
